Who We Are

Neighbors Advocating for Tenant Empowerment (N.A.T.E) is a grassroots movement committed to dismantling housing injustice and empowering tenants to stand boldly against discrimination, displacement, and abuse. We provide direct housing assistance, legal advocacy, and community education to ensure that every resident, regardless of race, income, disability, or background, has safe, secure, and dignified housing.

We confront negligent landlords, challenge systemic inequities, and demand accountability from public and private housing entities. Through collective action and fearless advocacy, N.A.T.E fights to protect tenants’ rights, restore housing stability, and build communities where justice is not requested, but required.

Our Vision

The Problem

Housing instability is a growing crisis in our community. Tenants, especially those using housing subsidies, face:

  • Displacement due to rising rents
  • Unsafe and unaddressed housing conditions
  • Retaliation and discrimination
  • Lack of access to advocacy and support

These issues directly impact health outcomes, including stress, chronic illness, and housing insecurity.
